It Has Been Awhile!

I haven't blogged since reaching my first goal weight!  Still haven't lost that last 5 pounds, but I'm happy with still maintaining and getting into better shape.  It is all about learning what works best for you.  I've once again started my "Eat Right for Your Type" blood type diet.  It is more because I feel healthier by eating "cleaner."  This November Kara & I will be running an all women's half marathon in Phoenix and doing the Dirty Girl Mud Run--"Rack Pack."  This is going to be an awesome time with an awesome group of women!  You have to keep exercising fun and set goals.  As the saying goes, "Just Do It."  Where is that Nike swoosh icon when you need it?!

I will officially finish my degree on July 16th, instead of the 23rd.  I'm so glad I overlapped the last two classes.  We will be celebrating in Walt Disney World for a week.  What better way to reward your kid for putting up with your stress for the past 20 months?!

In the past few months I've been doodling with refinishing furniture and accessories.  I can't believe I didn't think of it years ago when I was giving stuff away!  Through these past few months I have come across some amazing blogs on furniture refinishing.  Those that know me, know that I love to decorate and paint.  I've run out of rooms in my house to paint, so I'm moving onto furniture.  However, I do have ideas to repaint Mason's room and the office.  Oh wait, and our master bathroom after we refinish the cabinets. My life is a constant project.  I'm a busy body and I love it.  I wouldn't be me without my mind constantly churning on what I can transform next.  Transformation takes me to a happy place!  Maybe one day I'll come up with a creative blog site for my furniture.  I'll just have to follow and envy those that do have them.  For now, this is what you will get!

A Year Already! Goal!

Feb. 14, 2011 was my second blog starting my journey of body reformation.  In that blog I posted my weight and inches that always bothered me the most.  Some of you were shocked that I would even put it out there, but hey, there is no shame in the journey you choose to take.  I've worked hard this past year and I'm proud of myself, because it hasn't been easy.  You don't lose weight and get in shape by sitting on your butt and eating enough for 2!  So here it is:

                          February 14, 2011        February 11, 2012
Weight:                       119 lbs                            106 lbs
Waist                             29 in                             26.5 in
Rump                          37.5 in                            35.5 in
Hips                           35.75 in                              33 in

All I have to say is, Weight Watchers Points Plus helped me these last three months.  I definitely make better food choices!  I'd also like to thank my running partner and good friend Kara Ellis for being such a great support system.  You are inspirational!  Our runs have helped me clear my head of the daily burdens and kept me going.

No one's life is perfect.  Where we choose to let it all out is a different story.  I chose not to put all my negative BS on Facebook and instead put it into running!  Here is to a Healthy & Positive 2012!
